Migraine Help
My husband suffers from migraines. It seemed they occurred when the weather changed. And through the years the migraines occurred more often and more severe. He eventually was having migraines nearly every day. And if he didn't have a migraine on a certain day, he was drained and recovering from a migraine. In January 2011, he was referred to a nationally known migraine/headache specialist in Kalamazoo, MI. Part of his treatment was to change his diet. He followed the doctors directions and found relief nearly immediately! As it turned out, he was eating and drinking all the things that trigger migraines. He had no idea it was the food he was eating that caused all his problems. You will find a complete list in the links below, but here are a few of the things that he removed from his diet: coffee, tea, diet sweeteners, caffeine, chocolate, diet pop with caffeine, peanut butter, peanuts, cheddar cheese, bananas, and msg.
Below are links to the PDF pages of information the doctor gave him to read to help him understand his migraines and how to deal with them.
I hope this information may help you or someone you know that deal with migraines. I apologize for the poor quality of some of these pages due to multiple times the paper had been recopied. I would suggest you take a look at the website that provided this information. It appears to have a ton more content that would be helpful.
